After spending two years in the UK, I spent the next two in Oklahoma City as a nanny. In April I moved up to Juneau to work with an excellent company, Alaska Canopy Adventures (www.alaskacanopy.com). A year and a half ago I started salsa dancing and I really miss my IDance community back in Oklahoma. Writing is what I want to do for the rest of my life, especially if I get to combine it with traveling and meeting people. Most everything I do is documented with a pen and a camera; one of these days you’ll reap the benefits when my memoirs are published, or when my success as a playwright becomes evident on Broadway. As one of those “everyone can do their part to change the world” people, I relish in the fact that I have a purpose…even if I don’t know what it is. This blog is largely a product of my own self-preservation and none of the names/places have been changed. Thanks to an incredible support system of family and friends, I’ve been able to enjoy a wonderful and simple life. This blog’s for you.

Hello Angie,
I saw Rebecca last night at Rococo’s – she was with a ‘hotty’ man and she was looking marvelous!
Anyway, I miss you and am so very IMPRESSED with your website with all your humor and intellect!! I had no idea you were such a brilliant girl when I met you. I did know you are a very delightful person though with a contagious personality!!! You are one amazing young lady and I’m so glad I got to meet you before you took off on your amazing journey and job.
How much longer will you be gone? I want to be on the welcoming committee when you come back!!!
Keep having fun and I hope to see you again soon.
Love,
Gayla

Hello Angie,
I stumbled onto your blog the other night and have not been able stop reading! I too write and keep a journal, not brave enough to put it up online yet.
I came across your blog after doing a google search of Juneau, Alaska. My family and I returned one month ago from the most amazing vacation. We where on a Princess cruise. From the moment we got to Alaska I fell in love. It is such beautiful country and the people are fantastic. My journal is filled with pages of the sites and sounds of Alaska. My favorite city along the way was Juneau; something about the town just spoke to me.
As I continued to read your blog I realized that you work for the company that my brother and I went ziplining with! And to top it off I believe one of your housemates – Travis, was one of our guides! Ethan and I had a wonderful time that day in the tree tops. We where there July 2nd and where the last tour of the day. Which I am sure means nothing to you because you see so many people in one day, let alone a month ago. Haha.
I would love to know more about how your got hooked up with ACA. I just finished college and looking to turn over a new leaf and Alaska is looking better and better everyday.
Yours truly,
Ashley

Hey Angie,
AND tell Gayla, she was looking “hot herself”.
When are you leaving for your trek down the west coast?
